Global Industrial & Defence Solutions (GIDS Pakistan) will showcase the best Pakistani weapon systems at the 16th edition of the International Defence Industry Fair, IDEF’23, will be held from 25 to 28 July at TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center, Turkiye. Global Industrial & Defence Solutions (GIDS) is Pakistan’s premier state-owned defence conglomerate represents the country’s largest defence manufacturing units and hub of core R&D activities by offering products for multifaceted military applications.
By means of offering high-tech defence systems to the international clients – GIDS has emerged as a reliable defence supplier in an ever-changing competitive industry. GIDS will exhibit several products at IDEF 2023 including Shahar-II (Block-II) UCAV, Harbah-NG cruise missile, Taimoor ALCM and many others.
Shahpar-II (Block-II): Shahpar-II (Block II) is an unmanned aircraft with armed capability. This unmanned aerial vehicle belonged to the Medium Altitude, Long Endurance (MALE) category of UAVs. It is designed to provide Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, as well as an offensive strike capability with precision-guided munitions.

Taimoor ALCM: Taimoor is a Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) that weights less 1200 and has a range of 290 kilometers. It can be launched from an altitude of 2000 to 25000 meters.
Harbah-NG: Harbah-NG is a cruise missile, designed to launched from ship based platforms. The export variant of Harbah-NG cruise missile has a range of 290 kilometers.
Moreover, among land systems, GIDS Pakistan will display Nigehbaan Day/Night Surveillance System, Baktar Shikan Anti-tank Guided Missile Weapon System, and PAKFIRE Artillery Fire Control System. The Pakistani military employs several of the weaponry listed above. Pakistan army recently inducted Shahpar-II (block-I) armed drones and successfully deployed them to hunt terrorists in Balochistan province.
