Pakistan Navy and Royal Saudi Naval Forces Demonstrate Operational Readiness with Live Firepower Display During NASEEM AL BAHR-XV

The Pakistan Navy (PN) and Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) successfully concluded the bilateral maritime exercise NASEEM AL BAHR-XV with an impressive live-fire power demonstration in the North Arabian Sea. The event was graced by Commander Royal Saudi Naval Forces as the Chief Guest, with Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, also in attendance.

During the exercise, PNS ZULFIQUAR, alongside RSNF ships HMS JAZAN, HMS AL YARMOOK, and HMS HAIL, conducted live weapon firings, showcasing their combat capabilities. A variety of Surface-to-Surface and Surface-to-Air missiles were launched, with all participating units successfully engaging their designated targets, underscoring their operational readiness and warfighting proficiency.

NASEEM AL BAHR-XV featured advanced maritime operations, with assets from both navies executing a range of complex scenarios, including joint maneuvers, Anti-Surface Warfare, Anti-Submarine Warfare, and Integrated Maritime Security Operations. The exercise served as a platform to strengthen bilateral naval cooperation, enhance interoperability, and reaffirm both nations’ commitment to maintaining regional maritime security.

While the recently concluded AMAN 2025 showcased the soft power of the Pakistan Navy through multinational maritime collaboration, the live weapon firings during NASEEM AL BAHR-XV highlighted its formidable combat capabilities.

In this exercise, HMS Jazan fired an RGM-84 Harpoon block II anti-ship missile, and PNS Zulfiquar fired a Chinese-origin C-802 anti-ship missile. Another Saudi ship, HMS Hail test fired VL MICA air defense missile system on a target drone. HMS Al Yarmook, a badr class guided missile corvette also fired one of it’s Harpoon anti ship missile to showcase it’s combat capability and readiness.
