In a continued demonstration of its maritime security commitment, the Pakistan Navy has carried out anti-piracy operations in the Arabian Sea through the deployment of PNS Aslat, operating under the framework of Combined Task Force 151 (CTF-151). CTF-151, currently under Pakistan’s command, is a multinational naval task force responsible for countering piracy and armed robbery at sea.
The task force is maintaining a proactive presence in high-risk maritime areas, including the Gulf of Aden, Socotra Gap, and waters off the east coast of Somalia. The objective is to deter illicit maritime activities and ensure the security of critical Sea Lines of Communication (SLOCs).
PNS Aslat, a modern F-22P Zulfiquar-class frigate, is equipped with advanced weapons, sensors, and surveillance systems. Designed for multi-mission capabilities, it forms an integral part of Pakistan Navy anti-piracy operations, enabling safe and effective patrolling of volatile maritime zones.
