Royal Norwegian Air Force is retiring its final Sea King helicopters, tomorrow, after 50 years of service. Being inducted in May 1973, the Sea King helicopter served in more than forty-five thousand missions all over Norway and abroad.

To mark this occasion, the 330 Squadron of the Royal Norwegian Air Force is also conducting a fly-past with its Sea King helicopter along the coast and Norway lengthwise. The trip marks the end of a 50-year-long service. After this trip, Leonardo’s AW 101 will replace the final Sea King helicopter.
