Russian navy set to participate joint naval drills with ASEAN navies

According to a news story published by Russia media platform, “TASS”, Russian Navy and the navies of  Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will hold the first-ever joint naval drills off Indonesia in early December, Russia’s Permanent Representative at ASEAN Alexander Ivanov told.

According to further details, The Project 1155 large anti-submarine warfare ship Admiral Panteleyev will represent Russia in the drills which belongs to the Udaloy-class destroyer of the Russian Navy. This ship is armed with 2 × 4 SS-N-14 anti-submarine missiles. For air defense, this destroyer accommodates 8 Vertical Launch Cells (VLS) for SA-N-9 surface-to-air missiles.
